This app literally has EVERTthing!!! Every type of music from alp the eras, also with tons choices if you want video to go along with your songs, or not. I have noticed that the video versions of the songs often sound a bit quieter in volume, maybe a tad less quality (mostly just volume quality, hd etc), but only some songs are noticeable. If that ever bothers ya, you can just click the "music only" option, which turns the video to a standstill, using the screen as a thumbnail. Great app. 👍
Great music player. Especially with the cross platform playlist from YouTube to YouTube music. The only drawback is when looking through my library or uploads, albums for example. If I select one then return to the previous page it restarts at the very top of the sorting. Having to then scroll all the way back to where I was. Very frustrating
You removed Google Podcasts for this?!? This app is inferior in every way. I loved Google Podcasts. It was easy to use, and interfaced easily with Android Auto. This app is terrible! It requires searching around for the podcast in the app each time, instead of picking up where you left off when you closed the app. I will be using iHeart or one of the other podcast apps instead of this.
Good library, but nerfed for hi res needs...no lossless option. Also annoyingly when I turn my screen it always locks in fullscreen mode. I expect better from the people who designed the OS that this is 'integrated' into. I can't justify constant annoyance from a paid service, and if I want to get the music I'm listening to at full quality, I need an Apple Music, or Tidal, Qobuz, etc subscription. Its really about being bullied with ads, not quality.
I was pleasantly surprised when I switched from Spotify to YouTube Music. Almost every aspect of YouTube Music has been an improvement over Spotify. The algorithm is better, the transition from audio to video is seamless, I can check comments, the music catalog is vast, and it comes bundled with YouTube Premium. The only downsides are that song sorting by artist or name is not possible and adding multiple songs to playlists is not supported.
