Master of the zigzag. Advantage is can use offline. In big cities and on highways the app is unreliable, almost dangerous. In cities it shows me to 50% a longer and more complicated way as an alternative map app. On highways it shows often straight, even you have to turn to another street section. The most series flaw is if you are on an intersection to turn right or left and app tell you to go straight for 0 m, then in the middle of the intersection it changes to then right or left. Dangerous!

When it loads without an internet connection, I would say that it is the best navigation AP that I have tried, and I have tried a lot. BUT, when the phone is turned off and than restarted or exited, it will not load, rendering it useless. This happens frequently. I know it can be fixed because it has been several times, but then without warning , returns to the need for an internet connection requirement.

Map quality is very poor. I have been waiting for more then 5 years for real map update (Ireland) and got the same map without new big estate, roads and so on. Disappointed. And they wanted me to pay for the monthly updated maps... They couldn't even compare maps with other sources or use the open source maps. Upd: maps were fix with the last update. It took 9 months. I changed rating to 5 start. Thanks.

This app is amazing! It does nearly everything I could ask for. My only complaint is that HUD mode navigation is a bit basic, and I would love to have the option of mirroring the normal gps screen for HUD use as well, as it contains a lot more information, and my hardware is a cheap recycled smartphone from 10 years ago, which makes basic navigation even worse in my specific use case. Offline maps are also fantastic, if a few years out of date.

First thing is set Google reviews to show the latest reviews rather than the "most relevant". That way you get an up to date evaluation of the app rather than reading reviews that may be years old, that some computer program has decided are "relevant" but give a misleading view of the app. I've used it in the UK for 6 months now, including the back roads in the Lakes and it's never let me down once. It's really easy to set start & end destinations and change them if required. Recommended.

UPDATE. I've had the paid version for a year. Sygic sometimes has no idea about major roadworks, diversions, etc. There are few 'live' traffic alerts such as police or accidents as Sygic's UK user base is too small compared with Waze. Traffic congestion and Speed cameras warnings are slightly improved though...and the screen layout is good. The offline maps are often a lifesaver when Internet is unavailable. I'll give it another year's subscription but keep Waze handy for live updates.
