😎😎 This app does everything we can expect. It's better and more user friendly than many pay apps !! **** I read a lot of the complaints and many people were having problems with the app even on multiple devices. That tells me that you may have turned on or off a function/option and that's why its acting the same way on all devices. If the app is synced across your devices.
I like this company, they're the home grown original, and have contributed to understanding of our infrastructure since the 90s. The app has far fewer ads than another I tested that was higher rated for some reason. I also got a higher download speed using this app, suggesting maybe the other speed test app from China was downloading something freaky to my phone in the background (?)
Quite fair , I will say it's not fully accurate, but what is perfect in this world anyway? the main deal is ping and MBps or such in consistency, it shows very rough lines to average. It is only accurate in some cases.but has a flaw if connection is updown ,it only shows one of up or down, I guess it's full analysis and average MBps is main than current MBps.
Appears to do its job, but I have no way of telling how accurately lol. First started using many years ago on PC via the website. it's nice to have it as app on phone now too. Very handy when you're having internet trouble and when calling your ISP for support to have a log for yourself to tell them what's been happening. I think it really helps with troubleshooting.
Helps me deal with Comcast. I have no real choice in my Internet provider, and often my Xfinity connection drops or gets seriously throttled. I run a quick test with the app and then call Xfinity's Customer support. After a bit of techno babble I check again. The connection is always better. Thank you, Speedtest, for making my life better!
Consist results. Very useful for checking results over a period of time. Information is very helpful when deciding where to position Router, extenders and other Wi-fi devices. I have used it to identify poor signal areas in the house and make adjustments to try and improve signal quality. App is very good with excellent features..👍
I have used, made router adjustments based on results and tracked my local ISP with Speed Test, since before it was an app, and you had to use it from their web page. This app is accurate, gives you options to test from, and best of all is not run or bought by your cable provider, so results are real, not paid for!
Keeps a log of all your tests with location and AP name, very useful for comparison. The service provider map is also a nice feature. Overall, Ookla has come a long way from when I started using it. Honestly nothing beats dslreports tools but this is plenty for most users. *A graph of how ISPs/cellular providers rate would be a great feature as you collect this data anyway.
Great App to verify network speed & condition. Also, for verification of ISP service level. Works well on Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
