I've loved the app Kinda figuring it out. The brushes are still confusing, but Kinda playing with them.... I dont like how Pixilated they are, and for one Color its 3 in one brush,and It makes the picture look Weird so you have to go over the Picture to fix the Color that was missed or Just Came out different... I Like that you Can Zoom in more. Theres a huge lag on the brushes. It Will also not go over some spots and will not go where the pen is actually touching. Ive chucked my pen its fine
Very high quality drawing experience. The tools feels very true to its real world counterpart. I do wish there was a quicker means to change colors and I don't like the color resets when you change tool. I really like the social elements to the app too. I feel like I am learning to draw thanks to the live drawing aspect.
This app is great for both people that like to draw and people that like to look at others artwork. The amount of tools that can be used to make artwork is good. I do wish we could add favorite custom colors and keep the favorites in a specific section. There have been a few times I've been kicked out of my drawing and some work not saved, some other times none of the drawing gets saved when it kicks me out of it. I haven't seen anything that you need to pay to use. I enjoy using this app.
This app has some cool features, but it could be better. The drafts don't sync between devices, so if I draw something on my tablet it won't show up on my phone and vice versa. The live drawing is fun but you often can't see what was done when the video pauses. it's like the bottom layer hides the subsequent layers. Now you can pull up a small version of the live drawing but you can't keep it there and you still can't see the layers. Most of the live drawings are useless because of this.
I'm so not an artist so I can't give a detailed critique, but I love the variety of tools given that this is a free program! The UI is very smooth and pretty straightforward (even if it takes a couple trials and errors to understand what each tool does if you're not used to digital art programs). The blend feature is very intriguing but I feel like it could be... Broader? Fuzzier? It seems more like a smear than a blend. I might be using it wrong.
I loved penup, but since the latest update, I no longer enjoy it. I loved the old features and that it wasn't overly complicated. I've adjusted the settings for the brush styles, and they aren't the same. The new styles are bulky, as well as difficult to adjust and use. I'm very upset because I would draw when I had free time, but this horrible update has taken the joy out of it for me. I will no longer use this app unless they fix their issues or revert back to the older version.
The redo button is broken. If I hit undo, then redo it will delete all my unsaved progress. And since the autosave feature is inconsistent, you can lose hours of work over one button. I use this app a lot but until this is fixed I won't be changing my review. Edit: they addressed and fixed the issue thankfully so I'm editing this to 4/5 instead of 1/5.
NICE APP! I LOVE IT! ITS AMAZING AND DOESN'T NEED ANY CHANGE! I also made many friends. But here's what you can add is that WE can also create live drawings and maybe add more brushes. It's difficult to create live drawings, but that's okay. This app is REAALY good And I love it so even if you don't change, I'll be okay with that...
I personally love it but it could use more brushes more blending tools and animation other than that everything is great I personally love it it has coloring pages for all ages there are some really good artists on the app and there is a live drawing to help you draw and I feel like that is really helpful for a person that doesn't draw too much like me
