It is pretty good especially on a tablet. The larger screen helps. On my phone it is okay to view, but to enter anything or manipulate the borders of cells is nearly impossible. I don't know what the solution of that would be because that is a constraint of the size of the device. In general, regarding the tablet, it would be nice to have things like cell size and word suggestion behave more like the PC/Windows version.
As this was for a phone I originally downloaded it just to view files, but it's turned out easier to use more functional than I thought. More technical stuff still needs to be done on the full version but it's surprisingly capable once you get the hang of it. No manual, but plenty of help online. Ultimately, does everything I need it to.
I Would be lost without it. I've used a spreadsheet for my bills for years, it helps to track what bills have gone out and what bills are still to go out. it auto adds and takes away so I know exactly how much should be in my bank to cover bills. It does take time to set it up but once it's done it's easy I just copy and paste a column and change the date at the top we get paid four weekly so this really helps to track bills providing you update every time a bill goes out simple to work out.
Sheets and Calc are good. Excel still is the industry de facto standard for spreadsheets, and I doubt that will change anytime soon. It's feature rich and I still haven't mastered Pivot Tables, darn it, but you can get simple things done quickly, and complicated things done with a little more effort. All in all, it's one of the best and most recognized industry software titles out there. I don't think you'll go wrong choosing Excel for your spreadsheet application.
