Recent UX and menu update is just became more confusing that it was considered a downgrade, apart from bottom navigation bar that doesn't even provide context (no text or a proper icon that is easy to understand) since a long time ago. I feel like hoyolab becoming more difficult to navigate, moreover for new users. The menu for game's tools also feels like hidden somewhere and needed extra effort to look for it. Tbh, Previous app navigation experience did better even if it's not that excellent.
Was waiting for this, so far so good, just one thing missing, dark mode, so just 4*, that one missing star is reserved for dark mode, which is big deal for me, will be solid 5* if that's added. Can check in, see map and also easily access official notices. Absolutely love it. Oh, and option to go back to top when you're deep down the rabbit hole of posts. I don't see button for that yet.
I would use this app more if it weren't so data-hungry. I don't have access to WiFi most of the time, only cellular data, and it's ridiculous how much the app consumes in a very short period of time. Also, I know, that I'm a minority here, but I prefer light-mode app, but after the latest update I cannot turn off the dark mode even if my device itself is on light mode. edit: also, the app automatically installs to internal memory and I'm not given an option to move it to SD card.
It's alright. The enhancement calculator is really helpful and the daily check in. A bit slow though, especially when loading images. And recently, i've encountered log in bugs, i haven't been able to use enhancement progression calculator. When i try to open it, it shows me a log in screen and when i try to log in, it says "network timed out, please try again later", my network is fine. I've tried reinstalling the app and it didn't work. It works fine on pc though.
It's a really useful app with useful tools and features. However, the interactive map could've been better if it's connected to Genshin's account. Like if you opened a chest from somewhere, it'll be gone in interactive map too. I really hope HoYo will take this into consideration tho. Will be really helpful if they do
