Love having the ability to select a text message and apply emotion icons ex. 👍 ❤️. That functionality has always been available to iOS users, so I'm happy this functionality is now available from my Android. Additionally, I'm able to see when my messages are received and read. That was previously removed from older versions of the SMS app.

The Google Messages app has come a long way in the last 5 years. I've found it better now than the stock Samsung messages. I can schedule a future message now. I really like the features and customization ability on the group chats. Google Messages is now my default messaging app! (Original Message from 2019) - App doesn't have the ability to schedule a message. I preferred my stock message app on the Galaxy S8 because of this 1 missing feature. I hope that you have this feature in the future.

I'm glad I can finally change the theme color for some of my messages. Looks like it only works if someone has an android phone, few of the people I know that have iPhone can't change the message theme for them. I'm not sure if it's just my phone, whenever I open a picture in this app the screen gets extremely dark. Backing out of the photo returns the brightness back. I turned off adaptive lighting and it still does it. -- :) hey look at that it works

Update: I forgot all about the pop-up about getting the YouTube app. I still have it disabled, and the pop-up doesn't occur anymore. The app works great. I love the swipe keyboard. I've used the original Swype since it was released. I kept installing it on my new phones, but it doesn't work on the new version of Android. Old review: Pop up saying "enable the YouTube app" and I don't use it. I will uninstall the app until they give us a feature that allows the uninstallation of that pop-up.
