It has been a great game for many years and I've been ok with recent efforts to incentivize in game purchases to get better event buildings, but the new ads have really taken away from the game. They clutter up the screen and take away from the aesthetic of your city, which is a reason some people play. They are also too long, so deter some activities you want to do quickly. Better if they just had an ad at the load screen each time instead of in game or, better yet, offer a premium version

The app loads quickly and runs smoothly. Buildings and scenery are surprisingly detailed and attractive, which is my favorite aspect of the game. It's more of a check in once or twice a day game than being fully engaging. I don't find the ads overly intrusive myself, as they're optional, and they rarely cause the game to crash, so it's better than other games out there. Not sure if my opinion will change as I progress further.

I love FOE - been playing for a while now. However, I'm having trouble with opening the app the last couple of days. It begins to load then closes out on its own. I have updated the app as well as my device, rebooted my devices several times, including leaving it off all night last night, and even tried uninstalling + reinstalling the app. Not sure if you can do anything to fix it, but I wanted to let someone know because none of my other apps are acting this way.

I never put a review before but I will for this game. I've been playing for couple of months and growing quite well with the help of my guide and friendly people telling me how best to manage my space and what buildings to place. Yes it can take time but I don't mind, for me the pacing is good. I've not spent anything and still got some good rewards and don't feel pressured to buy. Great game and fun, patience and management is key.

Great game with NO ADS, definitely addicted. Enjoy the events. Its alot alot of clicking though. I would love to have a tab which would allow all my production building to be accessed and productions started by selecting my prefered production time and applying to all of the , without having to select each individually. The last added feature to reorganize city was an A++ aswell. Keep up the good work!

Awesome game. No need to spend money unless you are impatient. Paired in battles with similar level players. Makes this a great game. Fight or forge at will. Plenty of events to keep the game interesting. It does start slow, but you can build a city in each available world. Just know that as your city grows you may find it too time consuming to handle more than 2 or 3 cities. It really depends on how much time you like to spend online.

Really enjoyable game...beautifully detailed. Love the battles! And an interesting look through the ages, with different inventions and the effects they had on civilisation. UPDATE: the progressions are very rewarding. Things take time, but they're well worth it. Love the little details, and the tavern is a nice touch. Zoom in to see people swimming and cooking and all sorts! I actually find the music and the style soothing and good for anxiety. Well done creators!

Great game. However it takes times and patience. I see it as having 3 game styles: 1) combat oriented; 2) trade and production focus; 3) mix of both. Unlike many other games you can play completely free, you won't find yourself in a situation where you cannot progress without paying or progress is so minimal that you have to pay. None of that. Nevertheless, buying ingame currency (diamonds) brings you much greater rewards in comparrison to other games I played.

I don't think I ever wrote a review to an app before. However, I think that this game is just near perfect. There are A LOT of playstyles you can do, and if you like an Era you can just stay in it forever without being at a disadvantage or dragging your teammates down. Diamonds are really expensive, but they won't stop you from having the full, fun experience, they just accelerate things. Absolutely love it.

Really catchy. Needs a few adjustments, but overall is a great game. The main issue I see is that the daily quests require a pretty big amount of effort and spending so unless I really can do it I don't bother. Imagine it like this: to gain a military building you need eother to solve a very complex negotiation (spending looooads of goods to figure it out) or defeating a very big army (sacrificing all good units you have) so in the end you need to spend more than you gain to complete that quest.
