Horrible now. Ever since Google took over, they've been steadily making it worse. Now the online dashboard is gone and you can only access your data through the app. They say that the app has the same functionality as the website did, (spoiler alert: it doesn't). But even if that were true, the change is incredibly abelist and classist. Whatever happened to inclusion, Google? In short, get something else. It'll only go further downhill from here.

Ever since Google took over they've been destroying the functionally of the app & my $200 Fitbit watch. Google assistant still won't work on my watch and now it can no longer track floors. Newest update. 🤦 Why the hell would you change the visual presentation of data to something that is harder to read/interpret!? This is the worst yet. little tick marks for hours on the sleep tracker. Gone. All these dashes and words on top of the data. Not helpful or visually pleasing. A week without syncing

Terrible redesign of sleep tracking! I'm a software dev in FAANG and I have no idea how this passed design reviews. It's 10 steps back from what it used to be. For some reason I'm also getting days that don't get captured at all now, makes no sense. Then there's the intermittent problems with syncing that requires a ritual of force closing the app, restarting the fitbit, turning around 3 times, sacrificing a goat, saying prayers, etc.

Update and plea: can you please please stop updating the app in a way that takes AWAY ease and functionality! For example. Your change of the sleep app is annoying! I used to be able to open it up and see everything. The chart as well as the numbers in one easy glance. Now I have to click on buttons to go from one to the other! Let's make it easier! The new update is horrible. Go back! It takes away so much personalization options and is less appealing. These new updates are not it!

Fitbit has been a long term favorite for me. I gave away my apple watch because it didn't do the things I like most about fitbit. However, I am looking to change because of the app software changes. I hate the changes to the sleep portion and the exercise tracking. It has gone downhill since the last major change to the app and is only getting worse. I am looking for another alternative more like the old fitbit.

6/2/24: 3 stars. Instead of tapping, you can tap and hold to see the specific sleep stages. 4/19/24: I have used a Fitbit for years. I have come to rely on the sleep tracking. I am joining the chorus of people who are disappointed with the new sleep data. I really miss the ability to tap on the graph and see the specific times I was in different stages, such as when I woke up and when I got back to sleep. My hope is the developers will see these negative reviews and add back that functionality.
