Drafts is a very ancient chess game that has existed as far back as the Pharaohs of ancient Egypt. Modern drafts was finalized in the 12th century.International draughts evolved from the national draughts of various countries and has a long history. The international draughts used at that time was a board with a hundred squares. Not only that, there are huge differences between the international draughts game and the Chinese draughts game. In addition to the different histories and different chessboards described above, the rules and chess pieces are also different. The Chinese draughts game is mainly played by occupying the opponent's camp to win, while the international draughts game rulesThe key is to win by capturing the opponent's pieces or making them immobile.Although the gameplay of the two is completely different, the interesting game rhythm of expired checkers is still there.

The difference between international draughts and Chinese draughts

1. The chessboard is different

Chinese checkers is a game that can be played by two to six people at the same time. The board is in the shape of a six-star. The pieces are divided into six colors. There are 10 pieces in each color. Each player occupies a corner and has pieces of one color., sometimes when the number of people is small, you can also play with two colors of chess pieces per person.

The checkerboard of draughts is exactly the same as the chessboard. It is a square board composed of 64 small black and white squares.

2. Different histories

Chinese checkers Halma invented checkers around the Victorian era (about 1880). The original checkerboard was square with a total of 256 grids. At the beginning, the chess pieces were distributed in the four corners, with the goal of jumping to the opposite corner as quickly as possible. The rules are the same as those in China today.Similar to checkers.

It became popular in the United States in the 1930s and changed its name to Chinese Checkers. When this kind of chess piece was introduced to China, it was called bozi chess. In fact, Chinese checkers did not originate in China.

3. Different rules

The biggest difference between Chinese draughts and international draughts lies in the rules. Chinese draughts can be played by 2 to 6 people at the same time. The purpose is to completely occupy the camp directly opposite with 10 chess pieces. The faster one wins, and the other chess pieces can be separated from each other.Jump continuously.Checkers is a game played by two people, with the goal of capturing the opponent's pieces or making them immobile.

4. The chess pieces are different

Chinese checkers are generally made of glass beads, but there are also other three-dimensional regular polyhedrons, with 10 or 15 pieces per side. The chess pieces are cylindrical, with 20 black and white chess pieces each. There are ribs on the surface of the chess pieces. These chess pieces are called "soldiers".The "pawn" jumps to the opponent's bottom line and becomes a "king" or called king's chess.

Checkers Variations and Rules

Checkers is not a single, consistent way to play.Everyone has different chess-playing habits, and people usually like to play according to their past habits, which is why you have to play in the mode you like and are best at: Checkers must capture pieces when they can be captured.Chess pieces can be captured backwards. There is a "flying king", which means that the king can move to the upper right corner and lower left corner. If there are no pieces blocking it, it can move as many squares as it wants.

The rules of Spanish checkers are basically the same as those of international checkers, but pieces cannot be captured backwards.

In British checkers, when a piece can be captured, it must be captured. The piece cannot retreat. There is no flying king. The king can retreat and capture the piece backward.

Both white and black squares of Turkish checkers can be used. The chess pieces are placed on the second and third horizontal rows closest to themselves.Chess pieces can move sideways or forward, but cannot move diagonally or backward. The king's move is similar to the "queen" in chess.

UPDATE: I wanted to make this a 1 STAR review, but am being nice! I'm sick and tired of moving in to finish the game as a Kill and win, only to have MY game piece make an illegal move freezing the game up only to tell me I exceeded my time limit! Dont waste your time on this game. If you do try it, DONT DO IN GAME PURCHASES! There are better checkers games out there. I will continue to play this game with SCREEN RECORDER, so stay tuned to you tube channel! DEVELOPER, you will be exposed!

Don't recommend. The game chooses the moves for you and not even as a 'hint'. It must have some algorithm where you can only move the pieces the game wants you to, so more than 50% of the time there's no actual game to play, just click where it wants you to. I am uninstalling.

Has been my favorite game for a long time, but the few changes that the developer seems to have made, probably this year,(2021) are somehow tending to complicate the game unless one realizes that you can't play a much harder game before you beat the easier once. Anyway it's still good.

I hate it. It has so many ads, and the game won't let you make moves ypu would make. I could make a move to get a piece into a corner, but the game would not let me. I had would try every other piece, but it only lets you move the one it highlights. The move would also cost me several pieces, which annoys me.

The graphics and the sounds are cool, but the game takes over and forces you to make moves that aren't in your best interest so when it comes down to like you can set up your opponent to worry about to do to Jones but it won't let you do that it'll make you put one of your guys over to jump the other opponents one guy and then he'll jump two of your guys and ruin your move so it's not truly interactive You're a diversity of the game the entire time

Used to love playing this. You could choose the level of difficulty. Since the last upgrade you suddenly have to unlock the levels and reset your play settings. So unless I manage to unlock hard level, I'm not able to play that anymore. What was the point of that after having had the app for a couple of years?? Also, the amount of ads has increased and you seemed to be unable to close them unless you come out of the app.

Waaaaaaaayyyyyy too many Ads!!! Up to 3 ads PER game!!! Literally, the most ads of any app I've used. Could be a promising checkers app. Too much time is given back upon each move. Towards end of game, a player who has used most of his time just moves quickly and recovers a ton of time. Maybe give back 1 sec instead. Otherwise, why have a game timer at all? And forced draw sucks! Three games ended when I was 1 move away from winning.
