It's okay. Radar feature leaves something to be desired, buttons for it are too small and once it's activated it stays in the viewer's way. . . but it works. Really would like to see 'L' for low and 'H' for high pressure systems so we know what direction things are spinning in addition to all pressure systems being shown in colored precipitation areas. That way one can see better where it's going and what it's going to do. I want to PREDICT, not simply view a snapshot.
For a few weeks it went downhill, asking for a monthly fee, playing music in the background. These particular things have not bothered me in about a month or so; so they must have changed some things back after poor reviews. This is my favorite app and whereas I understand certain features should be paid for I appreciate the changes made.
The app is really nice visually and provides great information. However, I would appreciate if they would remove the trackers that send my personal device into to Google and Amazon, such as first and last name, local IP address, GPS coordinate, unique identifier, email address, cpu and memory data. The app needs info in order to work but sending it to outside companies is not acceptable.
I've had this app for a few years and have gone through the ups and downs with it. I stopped using it completely for around a year because it had went so far downhill after some questionable updates. I tried it again recently and to my surprise, it's really upped it's game. It's fantastic now. So many great features including checking the weather for the month. The app is really easy to navigate and the radar has many options. 5 stars earned.
Like it. EDIT the following was fixed soon after posting, thanks. [FIXED: There should be a setting to allow a user pick their default view setting when in the "Hourly" info choice. With the update, there's optional viewing, it as a 'graph' or a 'list' view choice on a slide bar, and the graph mode is always default. I don't like it, I want the list mode to be the default. And there's no way to set that. I have to slide the bar every time I look at it. It's another unnecessary step. FIXED]
Absolutely love this app! It's been super accurate down to wind speeds when we've been out camping. Very useful. I was sad to see that it didn't come preloaded on the Samsung Note 9 as it has been on previous Samsung phones. But I just downloaded the app and rather use this app versus any other weather app. It did have ads but didn't mind paying the small fee to get rid of them, that's how much I love AccuWeather!
Well dropping my review again because now even though I paid for the ad-free version now you're going to a stupid subscription to get weatherby on 10 days. It is not worth $4 a month or 25 bucks a year to get that access. Looks like I'm looking for another weather app.
